| Mother of the Bride - Louise Kennedy-Goepel |
My mom. My superwoman. She was always my hero growing up, always protecting me, always on my side, always sacrificing for me. She is my example of true love, and it was that example that allowed me to recognize Christ's perfect love and give my life to Him. And it is that selfless love that I will endeavor to live out in my marriage, though not by my own willpower but by God's strength.

Father of the Bride - Charles F. Goepel III |
My father is no longer with us in body and won't be able to walk me down the aisle, but he is always with me in spirit. In marriage I will be letting go of my last name and with it my public connection to him and our German heritage. Having the wedding in Germany and the civil ceremony in German helps me feel that I'm carrying some part of my history forward into my new life with Peter.

Parents of the Groom - Jim and Donna Spellman |
I can't remember how long I've been fortunate enough to know Peter's parents, but it seems like forever. They are both truly supportive and encouraging. They have no pretense or distance, but are just open and loving to everyone. Donna has been a great support with the wedding planning and Jim's relaxed attitude has been a source of smiles and a good grounding force whenever I was tempted to take any of it too seriously.
